2016 New Year Resolutions: Top 10 Most Googled Includes Drinking More Water for Weight Loss

AquaNewWebThe Top 10 Most Googled Resolutions this New Year are health-inspired, including everything from how to cook healthy greens to drinking more water for weight loss. Rob Gourley, CEO of Sarasota-based AquaNew (a company that produces premium bottled water), was asked whether drinking more pure water can help with the “holiday bulge.” Gourley has a different spin on why people wanting to lose weight should drink pure water to keep their resolutions longer.

“Drinking pure water has the benefit of replacing foods and beverages that are energy dense and nutrient poor – such as soda. Water is also essential for metabolic functions,” he said. “However, the main reason why people abandon their resolution is because they feel lousy while losing weight. Fat cells are a reservoir for toxins that build up in the body over time. Weight loss can release these toxins into the blood stream and can lodge in either the kidneys or liver, causing inflammation if the toxins are not properly flushed from the body. Pure water, preferably Polarized Water, can assist the body in cleansing and eliminating these toxins from the body.”

It turns out he may be on to something. 2015 was a banner year for AquaNew in producing Polarized Water (Watt-Ahh®). “We almost produced the equivalent of 16.9 oz. [one half liter] for each resident of our home-based County [Sarasota County, FL.], with a population 379,000 based on 2015 U.S. Census data.” Gourley projects another record production in 2016 to meet growing customer demand spurred by better health inspiration for the New Year.
