AquaNew’s Health Spotlight: Jim and Becky Gabriel and the Gabriel Center for Massage Therapy

Jim and Becky Gabriel

For more than 30 years, Jim and Becky Gabriel have been providing innovative healthcare services, educational classes and holistic health and wellness products to the community. As one of the premiere stores that sells Watt-Ahh®, we’ve heard some pretty remarkable things from people who’ve taken advantage of the many services offered at the Gabriel Center for Massage Therapy in Sarasota. I wanted to pay them a visit to learn more.

“When I first met Jim 33 years ago,” Becky said, “he told me that it was his dream to open a massage center to help people as he had been helped.” She smiled and added, “That was two weeks after we met and we’ve been together ever since.”

It may surprise some to know that Jim Gabriel originally planned on pursuing a law degree. “I had numerous injuries from car accidents and the factory work I was doing at the time.” He explained. After having been told by doctors that he would just have to “live with it” for the rest of his life, he met Paul St. John, founder of the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy, located in Clearwater, Florida. Paul helped him recover through neuromuscular therapy. That is what set Jim Gabriel on a new path to help others lead healthier, pain-free lives.

Together, Jim and Becky run their center located in metro Sarasota,Florida. The center is comprised of one part wellness services, one part education and one part retail sale of health products. In addition to Jim’s work as a neuromuscular and structural therapist, he and Becky bring in top specialists to treat patients and offer classes in areas such as aromatherapy, light and sound therapy and negative ion therapy.

When I arrived, they invited me to sit in a comfy recliner, lined with a BioMat, while we spoke. Before they even told me what it was for, I felt the soft sensation in what I can only describe as a light ripple, akin to water rolling over rocks, as energy buzzed from my low back out through my toes. Next, the tension around my neck and head began to relax followed by cooling behind my eyes. Another five minutes and I would have fallen asleep.

Becky told me that the BioMat provides Far infrared rays that are similar to the light frequency of the sun. It produces negative ions much like what you’d find at the beach or near a waterfall. Negative ions are considered necessary for healthy cellular function and for the elimination of toxins. This treatment is one of many offered at the center, and they can assist new patients in developing a customized therapy plan to fit their specific needs. Feeling a bit like I’d had a massage, I became thirsty and opted to enhance the whole cleansing experience with a 16 oz. bottle of ultra-pure Watt-Ahh®, and felt immediately rejuvenated.

While visiting, I had the opportunity to interview customers stopping in to purchase Watt-Ahh® and I asked them what they liked about it and how they felt after drinking it. Some mentioned drinking the AquaNew Water for detox and overall health. Another told me that her husband adds a spray nozzle to a water bottle and sprays Watt-Ahh® in his eyes to combat chronic dry, itchy eyes … “He’s stopped complaining, so it must be working!” The customer laughed.

“We’ve seen phenomenal things with Watt-Ahh®.” Becky said. Some patients have used it topically for faster healing from skin cancer treatments and internally to combat constipation and reduce inflammation. “One of our patients started rinsing her mouth with Watt-Ahh® after suffering from chronic mouth sores as a result of chemotherapy, and she hasn’t had any sores since.”

We sincerely thank Jim and Becky Gabriel, and everyone at the Gabriel Center for Massage Therapy for taking the time to meet with me and for working with AquaNew in our own mission to provide the world with the purest, healthiest water available.
