hipThe third annual Health Innovation Week, to be held the week of Nov. 7, 2016, showcases life sciences initiatives. Currently, the Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida Area is home to over 130 life sciences companies and institutions, including software for medical record storage, neurological disease research and manufacture of medical and health products for wound care, diagnostic tests, human patient simulators, and enzyme digestive aids. There are ongoing discussions among representatives of local economic development organizations, corporations, marketers, research laboratories, healthcare instructors, and business incubator initiatives for improving the business-to-business (and institutional) networking and messaging for sharing scientific breakthroughs that are happening in our hometown, such as setting up a clearinghouse of press releases and channeling life science news to local and regional media outlets.

Here is health-wise opportunity: The public is invited during Health Innovation Week to tour (at no cost) some of these health innovation companies. The calendar of events, including our open house with Florida Integrative Medical Center on Wednesday evening, can be found below:

WIT International is a proud sponsor of Health Innovation Week.

Another opportunity during Sarasota Health Innovation Week is the BioFlorida Expo, to be held Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at the Roskamp Hall, Ringling College of Art and Design, between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Come visit us at the WIT International table. We also will be displaying the small 4-cell WIT Machine.
