Summary of BioFlorida’s Wound Care Management Event, February 2016

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 1.55.15 PMWIT International was a sponsor of BioFlorida’s Wound Care Management Event. Over 50 healthcare practitioners and innovators attended the event held at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Auditorium to learn from representatives of companies – both major and startup – who manufacture wound care products (Their corporate headquarters  are located within Sarasota County, FL). The Panel included representatives from the ASO Corporation (leading bandage manufacturer in the U.S.) and Sarasota Medical Products (exciting advances in redox healing). The latter company, Sarasota Medical Products (SMP), licenses our Polarized Water Technology in the manufacturing some of the products pictured to the left.

Dr. Walt Leise, an owner and lead researcher at SMP, unveiled the results of a swine wound research collaboration between SMP and the University of Miami that made the audience sit up and request more detailed information from Dr. Walt. The core of the wound care products tested showing the best efficacy for healing, stabilization of hydrogen peroxide and – consequently – greater antibiotic potential, included our licensed technology. Dr. Walt proclaimed during his presentation that the Polarized Water produced by AquaNew is “Magic Water.” We look forward to the day when we can share these results contained in a published white paper with our customers.
