Update on One of Watt-Ahh’s “Be the Ahh!” Champions – Anthony Radetic Receives a Tribute (and a New Home)

antonio.homesforheros616Earlier this month, I was doing laundry and half listening to Geraldo Rivera of FOX news interviewing Tony Orlando during the Building Homes for Heroes segment. It sounded like new homes were being awarded to deserving families of wounded U.S. veterans, and I had to back it up on the TiVo to watch with Rob. When they interviewed the third and final family, with a caption that read “Lasting Legacy – Radetic hopes to compete in the 2018 Paralympics,” we jumped for joy! Anthony is a good racing friend and he will be competing with his Sea Doo during the AquaCrossX races to be held on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Sarasota, FL.

Thanks to donations to Building Homes for Heroes, Anthony, his wife, Danielle, and two children will be living in their new mortgage-free home located in Land O’Lakes, Florida. Anthony’s bio, which includes multiple honors for his ten years of military service, appears on the Home Page of the Building Homes for Heroes organization.

Later, on the same day of the TV broadcast, Anthony replied back to our congratulatory email: “This was an absolute surprise and a humbling event. We are so appreciative of everything, and I can’t wait for July 2 weekend of awesome racing and seeing you guys!” Best Regards, WO1 Anthony Radetic, US Army Ret.
