Botched Bottled Water Ban Editorial Posted on the IBWA Home Page

Kids from the same village near MoptiThe International Bottled Water Association (a leading source of information on all types of bottled water for U.S. and International bottlers, distributors and suppliers), posted Dana Gourley’s recent editorial. Dana’s editorial was on a bottled water ban at the university that she attended and where she received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology.

The IBWA motto is an uncompromising commitment to the safety and availability of bottled water worldwide. Additionally, the organization does not support bottled water bans imposed by government and universities. The IBWA’s same home page has another article, dated July 8, 2015, addressing the federal government lifting bans on the sale of bottled water at national parks to regain access to healthy hydration options for its visitors. According to the U.S. EPA data, plastic water bottles make up less than one-third of one percent of the U.S. waste stream. Also, single-serve bottled water containers are the most highly recycled beverage containers in municipal curbside programs.
