Our loyal Watt-Ahh® customers already know that drinking pure water can cut calorie consumption. They may not be aware; however, of the cumulative caloric equivalency to otherwise eating a staggering amount of junk food each year.

According to a new study from the Beverage Marketing Corporation (BMC) in New York, Americans have collectively cut nearly 68 trillion calories over a 15-year span just by switching to bottled water as a healthier beverage choice, instead of soda, and other sugar-laden drinks.

Bellas, chairman and chief executive officer of BMC. “That’s the kind of difference we’re talking about when we quantify the number of calories saved due to this widespread shift to bottled water.” That translates into a daily savings of between 64 and 74 calories per person. Bellas further commented that a caloric saving of this magnitude is rarely seen by any food or beverage category. “As health-conscious consumers continue to select bottled water in the years ahead, both they and the bottled water industry will feel the benefits of this choice.”  READ MORE
