Team REDS/Watt-Ahh® to Race in the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix (Here are the Top 5 Reasons Why…)

Team members Eddie Tamberino (Throttles), and Nate Hunt (Driver) hope to thrill the many race fans watching from Lido Beach during the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Team REDS announced the Top 5 reasons for racing in Sarasota this year with the countdown below:

Number Five – Local Businesses: Team REDS relies on the services of many local businesses to get the boat race ready. Special shout-outs go to Silliman Fluid Power, Murray’s Speed & Custom, Innovation Marine Corporation, Sarasota Wrapsand Osprey Harbor Village on Little Sarasota Bay Dry/Manatee Mel’s Marine Services.*

Number Four – Team Sponsors: The Team welcomes its third-year sponsors Best Western Plus Siesta Key GatewaySuncoast MotorsportsMorton’s Gourmet Market and Catering, and – for the first year – Sunset Chevrolet. Additionally, Freedom Marine is the Team’s newest major sponsor for 2016 (contact John “Tuna” Mutton at 954-270-6937). This is also the seventh year of sponsorship for the Team by AquaNew’s Watt-Ahh.

Number Three – Spectre Powerboats Then and Now Legacy: Freedom Marine will be showcasing the new 2016 32-gt Spectre Powerboat beside the Team’s 36, the latter is the first Spectre Cat race boat built in 1998. The Spectre world-renowned “built-for-speed” legacy continues with photos of both boats shown in the photo below:

Anthony also will be racing in Sarasota this year and you can read about Anthony’s recovery and mentor support for those serving in the military, as well as his own athletic prowess and persistence in beating incredible physical odds HERE.

Number One: Team REDS races offshore on behalf of kids, supporting both the event host, Suncoast Charities for Children, and a second nonprofit organization, Childhelp®. “Watt-Ahh® customers donate up to 40 cents to Childhelp from each case of bottled water purchased,” Lead Mechanic and AquaNew CEO Rob Gourley shared. “As a Team, we’re also honored to be a part of a great event in our hometown dedicated to helping kids.
