Not a TKO … but Watt-Ahh Prices Rise Up on New Accounts

June 13, 2023 — We can not keep punching to avoid raising Watt-Ahh pricing for new customers. It has been almost 6 years since the last price adjustment (July of 2017). Our vendors (labels, boxes, water production, shipping, labor, etc.) have increased their prices between 2 and 10% this past year alone.

Customer Loyalty

Although Watt-Ahh is in a category of its own, we must still be sensitive of customer loyalty to our brand. When shopping for groceries, we all feel the need to be crafty to avoid a TKO to the family budget these days. According to recent Attest research, brand loyalty is taking a hit from inflation with 88% of the respondents saying they are willing to try alternative products and services because of pricing. Food and beverage brands are the most susceptible to product switching. According to this research, 80% of the shoppers are thinking brands are participating in “greedflation”, the concept of using inflation as an excuse to increase prices. We are grateful to our existing customers with a high reorder rate for Watt-Ahh.

For our loyal customers, we are keeping AquaNew’s long-standing tradition of freezing prices for our existing customers before this date of June 13, 2023. Since we recently adjusted the shipping cost for the Amazon customers, we have decided not to raise Watt-Ahh pricing too.
