April 19, 2025 – Six years ago, AquaNew’s 2019 Discovery Topic was on Longevity and the October chapter was on a longer and healthier life for pets.
Recently, there have been news broadcasts about a new drug with FDA’s Reasonable Expectation Effectiveness (RXE) approval. The company is continuing three more years of clinical trials to assess its effectiveness and safety. The prescribed drug versions, currently not available for general use, are intended for large dogs to potentially extend their lifespans and can be administered by either injection or given as a daily tablet. The drug targets age-related metabolic dysfunction that occurs with aging. In a review of the drug company’s website, neither the chemical formula nor ingredients are disclosed that are intended to restrict either caloric uptake or certain hormonal development occurring in senior dogs.
On one of the recent news broadcasts, it is reported that the drug can extend senior dog’ lives by 6 months (or less) or up to several more years. I recall hearing on the same broadcast that the drug when it comes available on the market, could cost dog owners over $100 per month. Instead, that is a good budget for dog (and cat) owners with all sizes and ages of their pets to give them Watt-Ahh that can support good metabolic function, mitochondrial energy and superior hydration which also can extend the quality of their lives. Plus no prescription needed.
